Bonnie and Clyde'ing our way through Bolivia

Pranoti and Tom (PB and T) have been partners in crime since October 2015. Pranoti, originally from India, and Tom, originally from England, first met in Berlin where Tom immediately fell in love with Pranoti's butt and told her as much. 5 years later, they're still very happy together.
Welcome to our big little world!

Dying of general awkwardness

Hiya!

I'm Pranoti and one half of the wholesome twosome behind this blog. I'm generally the one clicking the photos, unless they're terrible in which case Tom probably clicked them.

I grew up in Bombay and was a pretty normal kid. I got good grades and played sport. I wasn't the Asian parents dream but my parents weren't nuts either. I studied Hospitality and Hotel Management and worked with the Four Seasons group of Hotels for a bit. All too soon though, the suits were too itchy and just serving travellers didn't satisfy my wanderlust so after working every available hour and saving every dime I hopped on a one way flight to Berlin! Why Berlin? WHY NOT? I still don't know why Berlin but it just felt right, y'know?
I spent 6 months volunteering, clubbing non-stop and taking every drug that every stranger in the club offered me (Obviously, jk. I think. I don't remember).
I found my dream job working as a tour guide and that really kicked off my long term travel dream. I cycled around Berlin with a  bunch of excited tourists in the summer, and then spent the winters visiting all the countries they came from. I love history and people (not all of them. Some people are the WORST!) so I did well for myself. I am very environmentally conscious and try to travel as green as possible.
I love dogs and dogs love me back. I can eat a half kilo of tiramisu in one sitting and I'm terrified of salads with large leaves. Also Biryani is bae.
I read A LOT. I'm a huge Potterhead. I'm a Slytherin and I treat myself to Harry Potter days / events whenever I can. I still hold on to my teenage crush on Tom Felton (I guess I have a thing for Toms?). I'm also in love with Pottery (wheel throwing. Absolute beginner) and I'm keen on learning some new skills on the road.

My happy place is sitting in bed in our underpants, dirty eating fried chicken and watching Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen.

Fun fact: Our first date was at a fried chicken place. Only I didn't know it was a date so invited 3 other friends and a tinder date along. Get yerself a partner willing to deal with that yo!

Enjoying the local wildlife

Hey, How’s it going?

My name is Tom. The other side of the terrible twosome behind this blog.

I am originally from the soggy Lake District in the North of England. The countryside is a great place to grow up, but after a while you start to crave more excitement than staring at traffic lights. When I could I moved down to London to study English Literature and Theatre. I fell in love with the city but it’s a stressful place to be! Quickly running out of money, I took a gamble and moved to Berlin with enough cash to last me a month. After exactly 3 and a half weeks partying around I stumbled into a job which meant I could stay. That’s where I met Pranoti and took her out for fried chicken (if you know what I mean ;))

The travel bug bit me young. In high school, I had the chance to go on lots of international school exchanges. This showed me the power of going slow and meeting locals. This is the best way to understand a new place. I keep that philosophy today, and avoid group tours and package holidays like the plague. Armed with a couple of phrases and a smile we’ve had some incredible adventures far off the beaten track.

I fund my travel writing for different business blogs, it’s about time that I start writing for myself. I’ve been scribbling words in one way or another for years. The way I think about it, writing is like thinking. There have been many times I have started to write about something, only for my ideas and thoughts to change part way through. That’s the beauty of it and this is why I love to write.

I hope you enjoy our site and please get in touch, we’d love to know what you think.
